  • Soiree Pratique: Robot Competition: How to start

    During the competition, your robot may only start 5 seconds after we give the sign to start the round. To accomplish this, you can press a button or remove a wire. The easiest way to implement this is through a digital pin. You can configure an internal pull-up resistor on the digital pins (except for pin 13), in the following way:

    pinMode(pin, INPUT); // set pin to input

    digitalWrite(pin, HIGH); // turn on pullup resistors

  • Soirée Pratique: Sumo Competition Rules and Subscriptions

    Monday 26 November, the final soiree pratique session of this semester takes place. The participants will demonstrate their robots in a robot-sumo competition. Robots challenge eachother in a circular playfield and the goal is to push the other robot out of the playfield. The competition will be held starting from 19h30 at the Thermotechnical Institute (Thermotechnisch Instituut) on the first floor in the Machine Room (Machinezaal).     The IEEE student branch Leuven is happy to announce the fourth session of the Soirée Pratique of the academic year 2012-2013. We are going to make the robot intelligent in this 'Build Your Own Robot' session. For this session, you will need an Arduino board and a laptop. Please register at the bottom of this page. Be careful, this session starts only at 20h00!
