The SPIE student chapter invited the IEEE student branch to join them on their company visit to the Centre Spatial de Liège (CSL) and LASEA.
These companies are located at the science campus in Liège. CSL is focused on design, integration and calibration of space observation instruments. Some of the CSL science areas of expertise are: optical design and metrology, non destructive testing, surface micro-texturing, sensors and components working under extreme environment, lasers, cryogenics, thermal and mechanical design, signal processing …
LASEA is specialised in laser marking, laser plastic welding, and laser micromachining.

10 u -12 u @ CSL: Visit to clean room - experimental setups for optical, thermal, and mechanical tests in space conditions - presentation about the institute + discussion with expert

We will use public transport to go to Liège. For lunch, we will order sandwiches and drinks.
For IEEE members, the costs of the public transport and lunch are reimboursed by the IEEE student branch.
